This center has been such an important part in our lives since our son was born almost 5 years ago. From day one, I have felt comfortable with the care and instruction provided by all of the teachers in all of the rooms. The infant room ladies have decades of experience and were so helpful to us as first-time parents. Our son really thrived in the pre-school classes (up to/around age 4). He has had some toddler struggles with controlling emotions and being polite, and I’ve been so grateful that not only have the teachers tried to correct those behaviors in the moment, but they also provided us with ideas and strategies to help at home. Our daughter is very easygoing and has absolutely loved all the teachers in the infant and toddler rooms. Since they started using the app about a year ago we get multiple pictures a day where I can see how much fun she is having with really interesting learning experiences. I cannot recommend this center enough. Compared to others it is more expensive, but I have never been unhappy with the quality of care. I couldn’t do my job well if I wasn’t secure in the care my children were receiving.
My African American child was a preschooler at the Bettendorf,IA center on 2330 Tech Drive. On 2/13/2023 my child went to school with a full Afro and I was also an employee during the time at 1100am on the 13th his teacher called my classroom and made the statement that he looked “older”. Once I ended my day and went to pick my child up I immediately noticed something was different ,I had took photos of him before school and I had made the comparison of the 2 and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I noticed my child had received a full hair cut. I asked my child if had received a hair cut while at school he replied “yes” I then asked who cut his hair he replied with a specific teachers name (Lead teacher in preschool B) I called the director/my boss at the time she had no response I asked her to reach out to the staff in his room she texted me asking for photos but ultimately said no one had any answers. The next day I asked the staff for their names and everybody jumped on the defense(especially the one who my child said cut his hair)and begin to threaten me with calls to the cops(eventually doing so ,after voicing that would be a great idea due to the issue at hand). I have since been released from my job and my child has been pulled from the centers all decisions made by The center director and district manager. While the person with the allegations against them is still left to work freely. I understand kindercare tries to push the idea they are open to diversity but after my experience with the staff and district manager of Bettendorf, I just can’t see how a company who’s big on diversity would allow the ones in charge to be in charge . I have been given no follow from the company or staff in regards to my child no accountability yet everyone is a mandatory reporter. Kindercare has left me feeling like they are a very prejudice company.
We have 2 kids attending KinderCare and it's been an amazing place for us. The teachers and directors are great. They're kind, supportive, and they care so much! They really are like a second family. I ask for their advice all the time! Our kids have also learned so much here - so much more than I ever expected! Love love love this place!
We recently moved to the area and one of the things that was most important to us was childcare for our two boys. Our experience here has been wonderful! Many of the teachers have been at the center for many years which speakers volumes, you can tell they truly love the children and their jobs, the Director is wonderful and parents are encouraged to call or stop in any time. We also have a child with food allergies and they have been diligent and very helpful in working with us to ensure he is safe throughout the day.
All three of our children have attended and still do attend this school. I would not send my most precious gifts anywhere else. We don’t live around family and sometimes that is really hard, but the teachers and staff are truly our second family. As a mommy, the best thing for me is that all three of my children have had the same teachers—the teachers are beyond experienced and they want to be there—they have a passion for teaching and caring for little ones. We are greeted every single day with smiles. They provide fun activities, especially in the summertime, for all ages. I know they provide the very best care for my babies when I can’t be there. We could never thank the teachers, staff, and management of this center enough for showing so much love to our family.
